Black and Decker Hand Vac

Black and decker hand vacuum cleaners are very popular due to the wide variety of styles and prices of hand held vacuum cleaners offered. They are also referred to as dustbusters. Just so you will know this is a real review and I am a real person who owns two black and decker cordless hand vacuum cleaners.

Long story short when I was out of work I bought a cheap black and decker hand vac and still use it sometimes. Then when I got a job I bought another one that cost a little more. I am happy with both of them, one a little more than the other.

The reason I bought the second black and decker hand vacuum was that I wanted one with more power and versatility for specific cleaning jobs. I figured since the first one worked great for so cheap then this one would work better.

In the past I had owned dirt devils and other handheld vacuum cleaners, but wanted to try black and decker vacuums to see what they had to offer. You never know until you try something for yourself if it is indeed better.

Black Decker 18-Volt Pivoting Cordless Handheld Vacuum

The black and decker 18-Volt pivoting hand vac is the most powerful hand vac I have ever owned. It really goes to work and helps to get the job done quickly; you don't have to go over and over the area to pick everything up.

It is louder and heavier than the others as well, but this is to be expected I suppose if you want a hand held vacuum that picks up like an upright model. I also like the 2 speed feature; I have never had a cordless hand vacuum that has 2 speeds.

I do try to avoid the high speed, however, due to the fact that it gets really loud. Nevertheless, when it's needed it is good to know that I have it.

Another feature I love is the skinny nozzle that goes into tight spaces like in between the seats of the car and under the cushions of the couch. The nozzle is also extendable, which is great for sucking up cobwebs near the ceiling.

Conventional upright vacuum cleaners cannot begin to go where this one does. In fact, the nozzle extends like a built in attachment for really narrow areas that are almost impossible to reach. The extension slides now and then, but not bad.

This black and decker cordless hand vacuum is also easy to clean you just empty on its side, plus the filter is washable, which is another great perk for me.

The battery has always charged excellent the hand vac is always ready to go and stays going for a long time. However, I do place it in the charger when not in use. You can't expect to leave it lying around or it won't work when you need it.

One other benefit of the black and decker 18-volt cordless hand vacuum is that has the ability to fold up for easy storage. Or you can hide it like I do behind the drapes for easy access. What other cordless hand vac does that?

There are only a couple of cons for this cordless hand vacuum at least for me. One is that the suction tube is small and stuff gets stuck and you have to unclog it. Two it gets a little heavy when vacuuming the car in weird positions.

That's about it for the black and decker cordless hand vacuum at least the 18-volt pivoting cordless hand held model. Oh, and I paid about $75 for mine online not sure of the website, but they're on sale often.

Black and Decker Cordless Hand Vacuum 7.2 Volt

This little gem of a cordless hand vacuum gets a bad rap, but for the price it works fine. You can't expect it to be as powerful as the more expensive ones. Plus if you're short on cash, which I was at the time, it's a bargain.

There aren't as many exciting things to say about it like the one above, since it's very basic and does what it's supposed to do, which is pick up small messes.

At the time I paid about $20 for it and was thrilled to get such a cheap black and decker cordless hand vacuum. I needed one badly for the stairs and bathroom.

One thing I loved about it right off was that it held a charge and keep going as long as needed. You do need to go over spots more than once, but I expected that. This was true of all the cordless hand held vacuums I owned.

While I found that it did blow out dust as I vacuumed just as some of the reviews said I figured out why it does this. The problem is that you need to wash the small filter made of sponge after each use. Well, not really wash, but at least rinse.

When you do this it works fine and does good, way better than picking up small particles of this and that with your hands that's for sure. It doesn't perform as well as the pivoting hand vacuum marvel above, but you can't expect it to.

Like any cordless hand vacuum you must leave it on the charger and it will be ready to go each time. Dump and clean after each use and it works great.
